Basketball Hoop
how high should I mount a Basketball hoop for my 7 year old son who is already quite good at the game?
I plan to put a 10′ pressure treated 4×4 a foot and a half into the ground, so the maximum height of the post will be 8.5 feet, so I guess that basketball hoop itself will be something below that. How high should it be for a kid who’s going to be 8 and is already pretty good at basketball? For that matter, what’s the standard for adults?
For the kid, put the hoop at 8 ft, for adults the standard is 10 ft.
